Emerging technology cores keep unfolding opportunities for offering better substitutions to existing products. However, once innovators take the radical step of changing the technology core of existing products, product around new technology core emerge, invariably in primitive form. However, it begins a new wave. The continued refinement of the technology core, through a Flow of Ideas, keeps making this new wave increasingly better. Sometimes, these waves reach the inflection point and make products around new technology cores as better substitutions to products having a mature technology core. At this point, these new weaves are called Creative waves of destruction, as they destroy the demand of incumbent products.
