Radical technologies

These are the technologies that offer big jumps. Jumps could be in willingness to pay or the cost of production of existing products due to the addition of new features or improvement of existing features using these technologies. Such big jumps may even take place in Process innovation.  These technologies may offer the option of replacing the technology core of existing products for pursuing Creative waves of destruction. Radical technologies may also provide opportunities for innovating completely new products. For example, X-ray was a radical technology for supporting x-ray imaging innovations. Similarly, the LASER is a radical or revolutionary technology.
